One time, my parents got a wild bug and decided that they wanted to move houses. I guess it really boiled down to them wanting to downsize, but they didn’t want to say that. Well, of course they enlisted every child and child’s spouse in the family to come help. I put on my work shorts and shoes and readied myself to get busy, because it wasn’t going to be an easy task!
My wife and I arrived a little late, and the entire family was standing out front in some form of argument… here is another detail I didn’t give you. My mom is somewhat of a hoarder. Not severely, but she keeps things she “might” need and never wants to throw things away. I figured out what they were arguing about before I even stepped foot out of the car. They didn’t have enough room in the new house for all of her stuff, but she didn’t want to get rid of it. Finally though, she agreed to get rid of some of it. But not all of it!
Now we had a predicament on our hands, because we only had access to a couple of large trashcans. But she had so much stuff! She had a collection of magazines ranging from a decade old, all kinds of Tupperware that was never used, and trinkets galore. We didn’t know what to do, until my brother said “No fear! Who ya gonna call? Trash busters!” He searched for a local company on his smart phone and within 30 minutes we were delivered our very own rented dumpster! Thanks to http://www.dakotadumpsters.com/ we were able to get rid of the majority of my mom’s junk within four or five hours. It could have been quicker if she didn’t want to sort through all of it as we went, but you know how that goes. I like to think twice about every move I make and I don’t have any hoarding tendencies. I’m so proud of her!
We filled that dumpster to the brim and then called them back, and off it went to the trash heap, which is another wonder in itself! It was a hassle free experience on our part. I’m so thankful for Dakota Dumpsters and the service they provide. You wouldn’t think about it, but trash removal is such a big deal all around the world. It’s something we generally take for granted, but it’s a big job and gratefully there are big companies to deal with it.
Next time you move, go ahead and rent that moving truck to make it easy. And if you have a ton of items you won’t be taking with you, then rent a dumpster. They’ll haul that stuff off for you in a jiffy. All you have to do is toss it in and you’re off to your new house!
